LEH-LADAKH

Those wishing to witness breathtaking mountains with serenity all around them and still want to witness it closer home rather than going to Swiss Alps, nothing can be better than leh ladakh tour. In fact, many would vouch that the pristine ambience of the place could give any mountainous abode of tourists in the world a run for its money! One of the most sparsely populated places in an otherwise overcrowded country, ladakh tour packages are one of the most sort after ones in order to witness the Great Himalayas, Tibetan Buddhist monk culture, indigenous cuisines but mostly for its picture perfect breathtaking panorama which would even make best of artist’s imagination stand second to its presence.

Ladakh, with Leh as its largest city, lies at a strategic junction of trade routes and hence has much better road connectivity than one would imagine for such an exotic mountainous terrain right in the cradle of nature. And hence it is a sheer delight for ladakh bike ride. From snaking passes to tranquil valleys, from lakes to National parks, ladakh tourism is bound to evoke a feeling of having landed into a world of fairy tale and is definitely a must visit for travel lovers.

BEST TIME TO VISIT LEH-LADAKH

Ladakh lies in Jammu and Kashmir and stretches from Karakoram ranges to Great Himalayan ranges and hence, it is advisable to refrain from giving in to your temptation of ladakh tourism during winters. The temperature falls below sub zero levels and the place, in spite of being well connected with roads, might get isolated due to incessant snow fall. The best time to visit ladakh is during the fag end of winter and the nascent summer time. The months from February to May provide the most mesmerising form of nature here. The blooming season also makes up for an unparalleled ladakh bike ride experience. Alternatively, time period between June to September months is also well toured.

HOW TO REACH LADAKH

Ladakh is basically a mountainous region with cold climate overall and hence the place is not always access friendly throughout the year. Those planning their ladakh tour packages from mumbai and other places should take a note of how they should reach the place. Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport is the closest airport and is connected to Delhi, Srinagar and Jammu. Road travel is more frequent and time flexible for ladakh tourism. Public buses provide comfortable and scheduled connectivity while there is also the leisure of taxi bookings. There are two ways of reaching Leh, either from Srinagar or from Manali.

WEATHER IN LADAKH

Ladakh basically has a winter desert climate and hence weather is the first thing to be taken into account while planning ladakh tour packages from mumbai and other places in the country. The months of December, January and February are a strict no-no for touring in leh and ladakh since the temperatures are bone chilling and are known to fall around minus 20 degrees Celsius at nights! March and April does see some eased of climate but it is still close to chilling. May to September provides most conducive weather for ladakh tourism. October and November weather comes close to that during March and April.
